Directed by Mohammad-Hossein Mahdavian, the movie was granted special screenings at the fourth day of the event currently underway in Iran.
The film retells the horrific story of using chemical weapons during the Iraqi imposed war on Iran. It shows how a man portrayed by Peyman Maadi tries to rescue his family when the prohibited bombs have fallen on their city, Sardasht, in the western region of Iran.
A tagline for the film reads, “It might be time for everyone to be informed about this story; a story that began next to this Walnut Tree”.
ifilm star of ‘Leila’s Loneliness’, Mina Sadati is also among the cast member of the film.

Supervised by Iran’s Ministry of Culture, the festival hosts veteran directors and new filmmakers from Iran and across the world every year.
The 38th Fajr Film Festival kicked off on February 1, 2020 and will run till February 11 in Tehran.
