The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported on Wednesday that Fatemeh Tousi’s ‘American Bull’ will be screened at the Italian event next month.
The 14-minute film narrates the story of a young boy who owns a bull and has a special bond with his animal.
The boy depends on his bull for earning a living. In fact, the bull is being rented for mating and procreation.
The Sguardi Altrove aims to “encourage a reflection on topics relevant to women, articulated in their specific cultural, political and social context, by promoting in particular the circulation of films that are less likely to have access to commercial venues,” according to an online film submission platform.
The 27th edition of the festival will take place in the Italian city of Milan on March 13-21.
