‘The Sun’ gets poster

2020 Fajr attendee ‘The Sun’ by award-winning director  Majid Majidi has unveiled official poster concurrent with the first national premiere of the flick.  

The poster of ‘The Sun’, which is currently in the running at the Soda-ye-Simorgh main competition section of the 38th Fajr Film Festival, has been sketched by Hossein Houshmandi.

Written by Nima Javidi and jointly produced by Majidi and Amir Banan, the social drama focuses on labor kids.

Popular stars appearing in the flick are Javad Ezzati, Ali Nasiriyan and Tannaz Tabatabaee.

Majidi is one of Iran’s prominent filmmakers. His movie ‘Children of Heaven’ was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in the late 1990s.

His movies, including ‘The Color of Heaven’ (1999) and ‘Baran’ (2000), attended various international film festivals and garnered many awards.
