Iran ‘Label’ to vie at US fest

Iranian short film ‘Label’ has been set to attend the SPE Media Festival in the US.

Directed by Mohammad Shahrestanaki, the short narrative will be in competition at the 25th edition of the US film event.

A brief synopsis for the short reads, “Mohsen is about to tie the knots with his brother-in-law’s cousin when he decides not to marry her. No one knows why he has suddenly changed his mind”.

Mehdi Qamar and Nima Qorbanzadeh are the cast members of the flick.

The SPE Media Festival, which has originally been SPE Women’s Film Festival, showcases shorts and documentaries about and by women from around the world.

The latest edition of the event is slated for March 5-8, 2020.
