Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi screened ‘Track 143’

Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi had screened Iranian acclaimed war-themed movie ‘Track 143’.

Directed by Narges Abyar, ‘Track 143’ narrates the story of a woman during the 1980-1988 Iraq-Iran war waiting for her war soldier son to return.

At the event, which was held in partnership with the Iranian Cultural Center in Karachi, Iranian Consul General in Karachi, Iranian residents and a group of students from the Karachi Arts Center were also present, and the film was highly applauded.

Narges Abyar, who also attended the ceremony, praised the mothers of martyrs who have been watching their martyr children for years.  

‘Track 143’, which is a screen adaptation of Abyar's novel ‘The Third Eye’, was screened in Urdu language in the Karachi arts center.

The film brought Merila Zarei a Crystal Simorgh for best actress from the 32nd Fajr Film Festival in February 2014.

The Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi is the largest council made for the purpose of promoting arts and culture in Pakistan.
