India to expose Iranian ‘Scandal’

The 18th edition of the Third Eye Asian Film Festival in India has scheduled to screen ‘Scandal’ from Iran.

Produced and directed by Masoud Dehnamaki, the film narrates the story of a poor pretty girl named Afsaneh who has stole her father's demand notes and escaped because of many debts of her father.

She then meets a pious clergy who decides to help her, but this is only the beginning of the problems.

The cast list of the film includes Akbar Abdi, Elnaz Shakerdoust, Esmaeel Khalaj, Mahboubeh Bayat, Kamran Tafti, Maryam Kaviani, Amir Nouri, Arsalan Qasemi, Majid Moshiri, Tina Akhondtabar, and Mohammad-Reza Sharifinia.

The Third Eye Asian Film Festival is to promote Asian cinema using multi-pronged approach of cultural activities.

The 18th edition of the Third Eye is slated for March 1-6, 2020 in Mumbai, India.

This edition of the Indian event will also review 'First Signature for Raana’ by Ali Zhakan, Abbas Kiarostami’s ‘Where is the Friend’s Home?’, ‘The Sea Swells’ by Amir Gholami, ‘Azar’ by Mohammad Hamzei, ‘Wild Jonquils’ by Rahbar Qanbari and ‘Golnesa’ by Sattar Chamani-Gol, all from Iran.
