Iran’s ‘Braceball’ to go to the US

Iranian short ‘Braceball’ has been selected to go on screen at the 13th edition of the Media Film Festival in the US.

Directed by Reihaneh Mortezaeenia, the short narrates the story of a disabled child who loves to play football.

Though the boy is disabled, he tries his most to make his dream come true.

‘Braceball’ is a production of the Iranian Youth Cinema Society.

The short has previously won the Best Short Film Theme Childhood award at the 5th Atlantic International Film Festival in Colombia.

The Media Film Festival aims to present a variety of short films to create an opportunity for filmmakers to showcase their works.

The event is scheduled for April 2-4, 2019.
