‘Butterfly Stroke’ to hit silver screen

‘Butterfly Stroke’ has received screening permit.

The film directed by Mohammad Kart is scheduled to hit silver screens in Iran.

‘Butterfly Stroke’ narrates the story of some ostracized people from the poverty-stricken neighborhoods in Tehran.

The people have to pretend to be strong if they want to survive the brutality of their environment.

Some top-rating Iranian actors such as Mohammad-Javad Ezzati, Tannaz Tabatabaee, Mahlaqa Baqeri, Pantea Bahram and Amir Aqaee star in the flick.

Directed by Mohammad-Hossein Mahdavian, ‘Walnut Tree’ retells the horrific story of using chemical weapons during the Iraqi imposed war on Iran.

It shows how a man portrayed by Peyman Maadi tries to rescue his family when the prohibited bombs have fallen on their city, Sardasht, in the western region of Iran.

Mina Sadati, Mehran Modiri and Minou Sharifi are also among the cast members of the feature.
