Spain screens 2 Iran animations

The 24th edition of the ANIMAC, an international animation festival in Spain, has screened two Iranian animations.

The Spanish event screened ‘The Cycling Wind’ by Nazanin Sobhan-Sarbandi and ‘Eaten’ by Mohsen Rezapour from Iran.

‘The Cycling Wind’ tells the story of a young wind that comes into possession of a bike, which helps the wind to blow even faster without spending much energy, and to truly enjoy its time.

The short animation has so far taken part at some global events, including the 9th Annual Bike Shorts Film Festival in the US, the 29th International Animated Film Festival 'Les Nuits Magiques' in France, and the 2020 Canterbury Anifest festival in the UK.

‘Eaten’ is about a rabbit-like creature on a mysterious and unknown planet, which is eaten, but that’s not the end of the story.

The ANIMAC is the International Animation Film Festival of Catalonia, organized by the City Council of Lleida and the Regional Government of Catalonia.

The 24th edition of the ANIMAC was held on February 27-March 1, 2020.
