‘Exam’ to screen in Germany

Iranian short flick ‘Exam’ has been qualified to attend the competition program of the 21st Landshut Kurzfilm Festival (LAKFF) in Germany.

Award-winning short film ‘Exam’, directed by Sonia Haddad, narrates the story of a girl named Sadaf who has forebodings for the exam she is going to take.

But today, instead of going to school she must deliver a package of illegal drugs to a client and gets caught in a weird cycle of events.

‘Exam’ has participated at several international festivals and grabbed some awards, including the AFI fest award which made the title qualified for the short film category of the Oscars 2021 and the 35th Sundance Film Festival in the US has honored the flick’s star Sadaf Asgari with the Special Jury Award for Best Actor.

The 2020 Annapolis Film Festival (AFF) in the US is the most recent festival to host the screening of ‘Exam’ on March 26-29, 2020.

The Landshut Short Film Festival is a popular short film festival in southern Germany close to Munich. Short films of all genres to a maximum of 30 minutes of playing time can be submitted.

In various competition categories, there are 15 awards with prize money amounting to a total $ 28,000 to win.

The upcoming LAKFF is scheduled for March 25-30, 2020.
