‘Exam’ to go on screen in Sweden

Iranian short ‘Exam’ has been selected to go on screen at the 3rd edition of the Film Fest Sundsvall in Sweden.

Directed by Sonia Haddad, the short film narrates the story of a girl named Sadaf who has forebodings for the exam she is going to take.

But today, instead of going to school she must deliver a package of illegal drugs to a client and gets caught in a weird cycle of events.

‘Exam’ has participated at several international festivals and grabbed some awards, including the AFI fest award which made the title qualified for the short film category of the Oscars 2021 and the 35th Sundance Film Festival in the US has honored the flick’s star Sadaf Asgari with the Special Jury Award for Best Actor.

The short title is also scheduled to compete at the 21st Landshut Kurzfilm Festival in Germany and the 2020 Annapolis Film Festival in the US this March.

The Sundsvall event will be held in several sections, including International Shorts, Competition and Panorama, Nordic Mid Competition, Norrland Shorts Competition, Children’s Films and Music Mania.

This edition of the event is slated for March 11-15, 2020.
