France, Germany, Spain close Cinemas over COVID-19 outbreak

France, Germany and Spain along with many other European countries have shut down cinemas and some crowded public gatherings in response to the coronavirus outbreak.

The widespread outbreak of coronavirus urged many countries to cancel non-essential public places including cafes, cinemas and restaurants.

Italy, Poland, Norway, Greek and Denmark closed theaters earlier and now other countries are joining them.

Coronavirus has significantly affected the European cinemas and is considered as a serious crisis for the global film industry.

The flu-like deadly Coronavirus originated in China in late 2019 and later spread to more than 100 other countries.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared the virus a global pandemic.
