ifilm names best-selling actress of year

ifilm star Elnaz Shakerdoust has become the best-selling actress of the Persian year of 1398 at the Iranian box office.

According to local media, the total revenue of the movies which Shakerdoust has acted in and went on the silver screens during the year has been more than the other Iranian actors.

In 1398, Shakerdoust went on Iranian silver screens with two movies which sold more than 490,000,000,000 rials.

Parinaz Izadyar (with more than 420,000,000,000 rials) and Sareh Bayat (with more than 280,000,000,000 rials) are respectively the second and third best-selling actresses of the year.

Izadyar has appeared in two films while Bayat had three titles on the big screen.

Born in 1984, Shakerdoust became interested in acting while in elementary school and later received a degree in Theater from Tehran University.

When Kioumars Pourahamd was looking for an actress for his ‘Ice Flower’ in 2004, he met her and immediately selected her for female leading role of his film.

Less than one year, Shakerdoust acted diverse roles in four movies.

Her acting skills in ‘Singles’ (2004) and ‘Who Killed Amir?’ (2005) made her nominated for two Iran Cinema Celebration Awards for the Best Actress in a Supporting Role.

Shakerdoust has appeared in movies such as ‘Murder Online’, ‘How Much for You to Cry?’, ‘The Night Bus’, ‘Rules of the Game’, ‘Two Sisters’, ‘Carnival of Death’, ‘Ungrateful’, ‘The First Condition’, ‘Scandal’ and ‘Taboo’.

She has also acted in a series titled ‘Heart of Ice’ in 2010.
