'Star Wars' actor dies from coronavirus

Andrew Jack, a British actor who appeared in ‘Star Wars’, has died at the age of 76 from the coronavirus.

Andrew Jack died in a hospital in Surrey in Britain on Tuesday, his agent Jill McCullough said in a statement on Wednesday.

“Andrew lived on one of the oldest working houseboats on the Thames, he was fiercely independent but madly in love with his wife, also a dialect coach,” McCullough added.

Jack’s wife, Gabrielle Rogers, who is subject to a compulsory 14-day self-quarantine since she arrived in Australia last week, said “Andrew Jack was diagnosed with coronavirus 2 days ago.”

“He was in no pain, and he slipped away peacefully knowing that his family were all ‘with’ him,” she posed on social media.
