Alireza Raeesian’s melodrama has been distributed nationwide since April 14 and is now available in the domestic market of home entertainment.
‘A Man without Shadow’, which has been shot in Iran and Spain, had its first festival attendance at the 37th edition of the Fajr Film Festival in Iran.
The film depicts some emotional and matrimonial challenges of the Iranian modern society.
A brief synopsis for the flick reads, “Mahan, a documentarian, makes a film about a husband who was suspicious of his wife. After the film was out, he got sued and consequently lost his job. Sayeh, his wife, must find a job to make their ends meet. Now that her job as an interpreter entails business trips to Spain, Mahan finds himself in the shoes of a suspicious spouse”.
Leila Hatami and Ali Mosaffa, a married couple in real life, portray the two starring roles of the flick. Besides the duo, Farhad Aslani, Amir Aqaee, Gohar Kheirandish, Nader Fallah and Nasim Adabi are also among the cast members of the movie.
The film has already attended a number of international film fests including, the 10th edition of the London Iranian Film Festival in the UK and the 18th Dhaka International Film Festival in Bangladesh.
