Directed by Mohammad Hormozi, the 15-minute short fiction will be attending the competition program of the 16th edition of the Turkish film event.
A brief synopsis for the short reads, “A female violinist wants to enter an office but as she is not attired appropriately for the place, she must stay in the waiting room. While waiting, she is inspired by the things that happen around her there”.
Niloufar Mohebbi, Mehrbanou Batebbi and Maryam Jamalipour are the cast members of the short.
‘Inner Self’ has so far attended a number of international film events, including the Grand Off film festival in Poland, the 30th Mediawave International Film Festival in Hungary and the Dhaka International Film Festival in Bangladesh.
Akbank Short Film Festival is one of the leading arts and culture events in Istanbul with the aim to encourage short film production, to support new filmmakers and also to provide a debate platform for short film within a festival culture.

The 16th round of the festival was scheduled to take place in Istanbul on March 16-26, 2020; but due to the outbreak of the coronavirus, the screening has been postponed to a later date yet to be announced.
