A synopsis to the documentary reads, “A northwestern village in Afghanistan has a usual appearance. There are kids playing simple games, a shepherd with his herd and a farmer with his crops.
But the life of these people is not a normal life because they are living in an area in which US, Taliban and army forces are fighting. And, what makes it even harder is the rumors about witnessing ISIS forces around the village.”
The documentary was well received at the 2019 Cinema Verite Film Festival in Iran. It was also among the ten selected films of Iran’s 2019 Fajr Film Festival.
Established in 1969, Visions du Réel (Visions of Reality) is an internationally renowned documentary film festival and the largest Swiss documentary festival. The week-long festival is open to worldwide entries.
The 51st edition of the fest is to be held online from April 17 to May 2.
