Italy to receive Iran short

Iranian short ‘The Feast of the Goat’ has been set to attend the River Film Festival (RIFF) in Italy.

Written and directed by Saeed Zamanian, the short title will be screening at the competition program of the 14th edition of the Italian event.

‘The Feast of the Goat’ narrates the story of a city boy who makes friends with a goat out of loneliness.

Once, the goat is killed during a votive ritual, but the boy cannot let go of the animal.

A tagline for the flick reads, “Children never forget anything”.

Toumaj Danesh-Behzadi, Sepideh Dastineh and Yazdan Kokabi-Saba comprise the cast of the film.

The short title has so far attended some international film events and succeeded to win a number of awards, including the Special Mention in Short Fiction section of the 18th Dhaka International Film Festival in Bangladesh.

The River Film Festival is a free to attend four-week event that holds on the raft on waters of the Piovego at Porta Portello Padova in Italy.

The latest edition of the event is slated for June 1-30, 2020.
