Sima Tirandaz lines up with ‘Shark’

‘Setayesh’ leading lady Sima Tirandaz has joined hands with ‘The Shark’ crew.

Tirandaz will band together with Ali Atshani for the second time after ‘Selfie with Democracy’.

‘Chimney’ star made her film debut with a short role in ‘Hamoon’ (1989). She then appeared in movies such as ‘The Lady’ (1991), ‘Shadows of Invasion’ (1992), ‘The Reward of Silence’ (2006), ‘Four Springs’ (2007), ‘Vertigo’ (2008), ‘Hot Chocolate’ (2009), and ‘After the Fog’ (2010).

Tirandaz was nominated for a Crystal Simorgh at the 11th Fajr International Film Festival for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her appearance in ‘Shadows of Invasion’.

She received the Best Actress in a Supporting Role Award from the 11th Iran Cinema Celebration festival for ‘The Reward of Silence’.

‘The Shark’ also stars Reyhaneh Parsa, Pejman Jamshidi and Mehran Ahmadi.

The film shoot was launched in mid February but it was halted due to the pandemic. The procedure, though, will be resumed by the end of June.
