‘Slaughterhouse’ postpones online screening

Iranian movie ‘Slaughterhouse’ has postponed online screening.

Abbas Amini’s latest flick, which was set to be offered on VoD services on Wednesday, has been postponed to May 28.

‘Slaughterhouse’ had its theatrical debut at the 38th Fajr Film Festival in Iran.

Produced by Javad Norouzbeigi, the movie is a narrative of some contemporary social issues.

“It’s been a few months that Amir has been deported from France. For the sake of his father, Amir is engaged in a shocking crime…” a synopsis for the movie reads.

The script for the 125-minute film has been co-written by Amini and Hossein Farrokhzadeh.

Hassan Pour-Shirazi, Baran Kosari, Mani Haqiqi and Amir-Hossein Fathi are on the cast list of the movie.

Amini has so far directed a number of successful hits including ‘Hendi and Hormoz’, a title which has already attended some prestigious film events.
