‘Crusher’ joins Athens Marathon lineup

The 2nd Annual Athens Marathon International Film Festival (A.M.I.F.F.) is set to host ‘Crusher’ short film.

‘Crusher’, which counts as Arshia Zeinali’s 11th experience in making short films, is a 2019 social story of a man who is bogged down in his life while the smooth pace of the film is actually the calm before the storm.

The 9-min ‘Crusher’ is the winner of the Best Sound and Score at the Geelong International Film Festival in Australia, the Best Short Film at the Salt House Creative Film Festival in Australia as well as the Best Actor at the Independent Shorts Awards International Film Festival in the US.

Iranian director Mehdi Fardqaderi’s drama ‘Weightlessness’ is also the only Iranian feature film competing in the festival.

Besides, Iranian much-admired short title ‘Limit’ directed and written by Javad Daraee is in the Athens film lineup representing Iran.

The Athens Marathon International Film Festival is an annual international event dedicated to independent filmmakers.

The event will be running online in the Greek city from June 12 to 21, 2020
