Iranian ‘Tale of the Sea’ hits homes

Iranian feature film ‘Tale of the Sea’ has hit the domestic market of home entertainment.

Directed, produced and written by Bahman Farmanara, the movie tells the story of some people who have been apart for a while, but an incident gathers them together.

“A famous writer, Taher Mohebbi, turns distracted by observing a furious murder scene and goes to a psychiatric hospital. Being dismissed, others tell him everything is back to normal, but nonstop hallucinations force him to return to the psychiatric hospital,” a brief synopsis for the film reads.

Ali Nasiriyan, Fatemeh Motamed-Arya, Leila Hatami, Ali Mosaffa, Roya Nonahali, Saber Abar, Maryam Boubani, Pantea Panahiha, the late Daryoush Asadzadeh, and the director are the most notable among the cast members of the flick.

Made in 2016, the movie was premiered at the 36th Fajr International Film Festival in Iran and went on screen at global events such as the 23rd International Film Festival of Kerala in India.
