Canada to have ‘Eaten’

The 14th Annual TAIS Animation Showcase in Canada is to play host to Iranian animation ‘Eaten’.

Mohsen Rezapour’s short animation will be attending the 14th TAIS hosted by Toronto Animated Image Society.

In a mysterious unknown planet of ‘Eaten’, a rabbit-like creature is eaten; but that's not the end of the story.

A brief synopsis for the 7-minute animation reads, “A rabbit has been eaten by a wolf and it meets another rabbit, in the predator’s stomach, which had been eaten by the wolf earlier. Now the two go on living in the new environment and the story goes on”.

The flick is also set to appear at the 10th edition of the Supertoon International Animation Festival to be held on July 20-24, 2020 in Croatia.

‘Eaten’ has so far taken part at a number of global events, including the 23rd Seoul International Cartoon and Animation Festival in South Korea, the 15th Dieciminuti Film Festival in Italy, and the 2020 Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film in Germany.

TAIS “is an artist run production centre dedicated to exploring and promoting the art of independent animation through production, screenings, workshops, and exhibitions,” put by the event’s official website.

The event will kick off online on June 10, 2020.
