Cannes Film Market to host ‘Killer Spider’

The 2020 Cannes Film Market is set to host Iranian movie ‘Killer Spider’ by Ebrahim Irajzad.

The Cannes Film Market, the Marché du Film which will be held online for the first time this year will host the 95-min ‘Killer Spider’ offered by the France-based company Dreamlabs Films.

The market is a meeting point for over 12,000 professionals, including 3,200 producers, 1,200 sale agents, 1,750 buyers and 800 festival organizers.

The fiction drama, based on a true story, narrates the story of a man who wanted to destroy the roots of evil.

‘Killer Spider’ attended the 38th Fajr film Festival in Iran, marking the movie’s debut festival appearance.

Mahour Alvand, Mohsen Tanabandeh, Sareh Bayat, Shirin Yazdanbakhsh are the prominent names among the cast members of the movie.

Iranian documentary ‘Sunless Shadows’ by Mehrdad Oskouee will be also offered at the Cannes Film Market.

The Marché du Film is an annual event for the professionals in the film industry to connect.

Filmmakers, buyers, distributors and others come see the event as an opportunity to introduce their works and connect to each other.

The event will take place online on June 22-26, 2020.
