‘The Occupiers’ actor passes away

Actor of ifilm series ‘The Occupiers’, Sirous Gorjestani, has passed away at the age of 76.

Gorjestani died of a heart attack in one of the hospitals in the Iranian capital, Tehran, on Thursday.

He had been admitted to the hospital on Wednesday night because of a heart disease.

The Iranian veteran actor was born in the city of Bandar-e Anzali. He made his film debut in 1979.

This prolific actor is famous for his roles in a number of comedy TV series.

Besides ifilm series ‘The Occupiers’, he has appeared in many other TV series, including ‘Trouble’, ‘Imam Ali (AS)’, ‘The British Briefcase’, ‘A Place of Love’, ‘The Entrance Exam’, ‘The Suspect Got Away’, ‘Dance in the Sky’, ‘Shahriyar', ‘The Safe’,  ‘Stepmother’, ‘A Girl Named Ahoo’ and ‘The Pahlavi Hat’.

He also took part in many movies such as ‘Snowman’, ‘The Visitor of Rey’, ‘Aquarium’, ‘Three Degree Fever’, and ‘Network’.
