Gorjestani died of a heart attack on Thursday at the age of 76.
His funeral took place on Saturday, with a number of his fans as well as a group of artists, including Fatemeh Goudarzi, attending the ceremony.
The veteran Iranian actor was born in the city of Bandar-e Anzali. He made his film debut in 1979.
This prolific actor is famous for his roles in a number of comedy TV series.
Besides ifilm series ‘The Occupiers’, he appeared in many other TV series, including ‘Trouble’, ‘Imam Ali (AS)’, ‘The British Briefcase’, ‘A Place of Love’, ‘The Entrance Exam’, ‘The Suspect Got Away’, ‘Dance in the Sky’, ‘Shahriyar', ‘The Safe’, ‘Stepmother’, ‘A Girl Named Ahoo’ and ‘The Pahlavi Hat’.
He also took part in many movies such as ‘Snowman’, ‘The Visitor of Rey’, ‘Aquarium’, ‘Three Degree Fever’, and ‘Network’.
