Cyprus to host Iranian documentary

Iranian documentary ‘Alone among the Rocks’ has been selected to compete at the 3rd Archeological, Ethnographic & Historical Film Festival (AEI) in Cyprus.

Directed by Arman Qolipour-Dashtaki, the documentary depicts the life of a 70-year-old man who has learned to read cuneiform writing from French archeologist Roman Ghirshman.

The old man who can read the Kul-e Farah rock reliefs has been living by the historic site all alone.

The documentary is also written by Qolipour-Dashtaki.

The AEI aims to raise awareness about the importance of world cultural heritage.

The event provides a platform for inter-cultural understanding and promotes sustainable tourism.

The festival is slated for September 10-13, 2020.
