S Korea awards ‘The Third Person’

Iranian short title ‘The Third Person’ has been lauded at the 2020 Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BiFan) in South Korea.

‘The Third Person’, penned and directed by Pouya Aminpour, succeeded to win the best short film award in its international debut screening at the 24th edition of the Korean film event.

‘The Third Person’ tells us about a psychopath who escapes from a sanatorium in the northern forests of Iran, and the patrol units nearby follow him on the surrounding roads.

The Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival or BiFan is an international film festival held annually in July in Bucheon, South Korea. Prior to 2015, it was known as the Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival or PiFan.

Inaugurated in 1997, the festival focuses on South Korean and international horror, thriller, mystery and fantasy films, with particular attention to Asian cinema from East Asia and Southeast Asia.

Having introduced the winners of the short film section, the 24th BiFan, which kicked off on July 9, will run through July 16, 2020.
