Italy to hear Persian 'Echo'

Barzan Rostami’s ‘Echo’ has entered the competition lineup of the 2020 International Tour Film Festival in Italy.

In its 9th edition, the Int'l Tour Film Festival will be hosting Iranian animation ‘Echo’ which is both written and produced by Rostami.

‘Echo’ is about understanding and perception of wildlife and environmental abuse and its consequences on human race.

On his motives to make ‘Echo’, Rostami says, “I always ask myself would humans still hurt animals and cause damage to the environment if they were treated in the same way? I empathize with environment because I think all the living creatures have feelings like we have. They can feel happiness, sadness, anger, and other feelings that they might share with us. That's why I wanted to make a movie about empathy for the environment”.

Some of the latest festival attendances of 'Echo' include, the 5th R. E. D. Int'l Film Festival (RIFF) in Norway, the 8th Snake Alley Festival of Film in the US, the 9th BEYOND Film Festival in Germany, the 4th Southern Cone Int'l Film Festival (FICCSUR) in Mexico, the Smaragdni eco film festival (SEFF) in Croatia as well as the 8th Int'l festival of animated film "Constantine's gold Coin" in Serbia.

The International Tour Film Fest 2020 is open to shorts, medium-length and feature film.

The competition will be accompanied by events and cultural programming.

The 9th edition of the festival will take place from June to October 2020 in several cities of the Region of Lazio.
