Iran ‘Blue Bed’ attending Spanish fest

Iranian short title ‘The Blue Bed’ has been taking part at the Elche International Independent Film Festival in Spain.

Written, directed and produced by Alireza Kazemipour, the short flick is in competition at the 43rd edition of the Spanish event.

The film narrates the story of a girl who has taken a wrong path in her life and gets visitors at home.

One day things start to change for her when a woman walks into her house.

This is not the first festival experience for ‘The Blue Bed’ as it has already taken part in a number of global events and won awards.

Screening at the 10th Vancouver Short Film Festival in Canada brought Kazemipour the Best Directing award.

The film has also won three nominations at the 2020 Leo Awards in Canada, including the Best Screenwriting Short Drama, Best Direction Short Drama and Best Short Drama.

Award-winning short title ‘Funfair’ by Kaveh Mazaheri will also participate at this year’s edition of the Spanish fest.

The Elche International Independent Film Festival aims to offer a cultural space to filmmakers and moviegoers.

The event is running through July 24-31, 2020.
