The Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) in China has nominated Iranian short title ‘Crab’ for the Golden Goblet Award.

Directed by Shiva Sadeq-Asadi, the 11-minute animation is nominated for the award at the 23rd edition of the Chinese event.

But the only part offered to him is the role of a crab.

The animated flick will also take part at the Hiroshima International Animation Festival in Japan.

As a filmmaker, Sadeq-Asadi has already made a name for her award-winning short ‘Manned & Macho’ which has been and awarded at various global film events in Russia, South Korea, Italy, Australia, the US and Ukraine.
