The feature film, directed by Mehdi Rahmani. is about body packers that pass down their throats pre-packaged illegal drugs with their consent or under duress to transfer them across the borders.
They usually carry in their stomachs opium, heroin, cocaine or amphetamine sealed in layers of plastic wrap for the purpose of smuggling. The story unfolds when a package is not wrapped properly and starts leaking in the stomach of a body packer.
Some cast members of the 88-minute movie include Mansour Shahbazi, Neda Jebraeeli, Mohammad-Ali Najafi, Asghar Rafiee-Jam, Tala Motazedi, and Shirin Yazdanbakhsh
‘Boarding Pass’ won awards at the Queen Palm Film Festival as well as the Reading Film Festival, both in the US.
ifilm has interviewed the flick's cast and crew, including director Rahmani, producer Bahman Kamyar, set and costume designer Vida Roshani and actor Mansour Shahbazi.
