Iran’s ‘Namo’ grabs Italian award

Iranian title ‘Namo’ (alien) has succeeded to win the Best Actor Award at the 66th edition of the Taormina Film Fest in Italy.

Bakhtiyar Panjehee won the award for his amazing role in ‘Namo’.

The Drama is directed by Nader Saeevar and narrates the story of members of a family who have to move to Kordestan Province of Iran because of the job of the father of the family who is a teacher.

The film follows their life in the new environment.

Some of the cast members are Sevil Shirgir, Nader Mehdilou, Nasser Hashemi, Hadi Eftekharzadeh, Firouz Aqeli and Tara Aqajani.

The Arthood Entertainment film company is in charge of the film’s marketing and distribution.

The Taormina aims to showcase the best of international works and presents films from countries with different cultures.

The latest edition of the festival was held on June 28-July 4, 2020.
