‘Weightlessness’ to vie in Italy

Iranian film ‘Weightlessness’ is slated to vie at the 2020 BCT- National Film and Television Festival in Italy.

Written and directed by Mehdi Fard-Qaderi, ‘Weightlessness’ will be vying at the main competition section of the 2020 edition of the event.

The movie is a multi-genre film with the storyline being centered around a wedding.

Produced by Morteza Shayesteh, the story begins the morning after a wedding ceremony when the groom disappears and not seen since the night before the wedding.

The bride, the groom's mother and sister, and some acquaintances, which came to the wedding uninvited, are looking for the reason for his disappearance.

The next day, the group begins blaming each other as their relationships are put to the test.

Starring in the film are Bahareh Kian-Afshar, Nasim Adabi and Tina Pakravan.

Yasser Jafari, Jalal Fatemi, Amir-Ali Danaee and Sepideh Moradpour have also played roles in the flick.

‘Weightlessness’ has previously competed at the 3rd Insolito: International Horror & Fantasy Film Festival in Peru and Bulgaria’s Sofia Menar Film Festival.

BCT festival aims to unite the film and television world by film premiering, television series previews, meetings, competitions, etc.

The festival is scheduled for July 27-August 2, 2020.
