Venezuelan festival lauds ‘I’m not Alice’

Iran’s short animation ‘I’m not Alice but here is Wonderland’ has been lauded at the Five Continents International Film Festival in Venezuela.

Animated short film ‘I’m not Alice but here is Wonderland’, made by Mahdieh-Sadat Ahmadi-Soleimani, received two awards from the 4th edition of the Venezuelan film event, including awards for best director and best screenplay.

‘I’m not Alice’ is about a girl who is involved in the problems of her time. To save her dreams, she lets herself go with the birds of her painting.

Included in the long list of the festival appearances of the animation are El Ojo Iluso Animation Film Festival in Venezuela, the 23rd Religion Today Film Festival in Italy, the 2020 Dytiatko International Children’s Media in Ukraine and the 15 Second Horror Film Challenge in the US

‘I’m not Alice but here is Wonderland’ is also the winner of the Best Short – Animation Award at the 3rd Queen Palm International Film Festival in the US.

According to an online submission platform, the Five Continents International Film Festival is an online monthly festival of “world cinematography, where feature films, short films, video-clips, web-series and video arts from all over the world come together to compete for the various prizes of the festival.”

The 2020 edition of the screening event took place on July 31.
