Poland condoles for loss of Sinaee

Poland’s embassy in Tehran has offered condolences for the loss of Iranian well-known director Khosrow Sinaee.

The embassy published a message on its twitter account and expressed its sympathy for the death of the veteran filmmaker.

“We are mournful for the loss of Khosrow Sinai [Sinaee], the veteran filmmaker of Iran’s cinema, who passed away on August 1. He directed a film titled ‘The Lost Requiem’ in 1983. The documentary was about thousands of polish people who took refuge in Iran during WWII," reads the embassy’s tweet.

In 2008, Poland awarded Sinaee with the prestigious Knight's Cross of the Order of Merit for his documentary.
