Iranian ‘Echo’ to boom at Italian fest

Iranian short animation ‘Echo’ has been scheduled to be screened at the Corto e a Capto- Premio Mario Puzo film festival in Italy.

Directed by Barzan Rostami, the 7-minute flick will be among the competing titles at the sixth edition of the Italian event.

‘Echo’ is about understanding and perception of wildlife and environmental abuse as well as its consequences on human race.

The film has been showcased at a number of global events, including the Smaragdni eco film festival in Croatia, the R.E.D International Film Festival in Norway, the Snake Alley Festival of Film in the US and the International Tour Film Festival in Italy.

The film’s screening at the Southern Cone International Film Festival in Mexico brought it the Best Short Film award of the event.

The Corto e a Capto- Premio Mario Puzo film festival aims to host films from around the world hoping to provoke thought and inspire hopes.

This year’s edition of the event, which is slated for August 18-23, will also host Iranian short film ‘Azadeh’.
