Written, directed and produced by Hassan Mokhtari, the three-minute short will be joining the competition program of the Italian event’s first edition.
‘Not Winter’ tries to convey the message of children’s kindness in the form of animation.
Earlier this year, when the animation won the Best Animation award at the Assurdo Film Festival in Italy, Mokhtari dedicated his work to the hospital staff fighting against the coronavirus pandemic. His decision was over the fact that his film themes on selflessness and sacrifice.
The film will soon be presented at another global event named the Grounded Film Festival in the UK.
The AniMate-Australia Animation Film Festival is set to receive short and feature animations from around the world. The selected films will compete at seven award categories, including the Best Animation 2020, the Best Animation 2019, Best Kids Animation and Best Animation for Television.
This year’s edition of the Australian event is slated for the month of November in Sydney.
