Iranian city of Malayer has been named the capital city of wood-carving and sofas in the country.
Domestic media quoted an official with Iran Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization as saying on Thursday that Malayer city in Hamadan Province was selected as “the national city of wood-carving and sofas.”
Malayer county is home to 4,000 sofa and wood-carving production units and most recently a furniture bazaar has been launched in the area, a report said.
