US fest nominates Iran ‘Hoda’s House’

Iranian short title ‘Hoda’s House’ has been nominated at the 2020 Global Impact Film Festival (GIDC) in the US.

The short film is nominated to compete for the Best Cinematography award at the US festival.

Directed by Hamed Qasemi, the short film narrates the story of a girl named Hoda who lives in Tehran.

Hoda is surprised by her cousin’s arrival at her home.

She is on the horns of a dilemma and tries to deal with the situation. But, her choice may be destructive.

The short flick’s cast members are Sanaz Mesbah, Abolfazl Rashidi, Nasrin Nakisa, Arman Pirasteh, Yashar Faraji, Nesa Afrangeh, and Mahmoud-Reza Ferdosi.

The GIDC is an independent film festival held in Washington.

It accepts and showcases films that are socially impactful.

The event celebrates films that inspire social change.

This year’s edition of the event is slated for August 28-30, 2020.
