‘Amphibian’ to grace silver screens across Iran

New Iranian social drama ‘Amphibian’ has recently received screening permit to soon hit silver screens across Iran.

Borzou Niknejad’s latest production features Pejman Jamshidi and Javad Ezzati as two household names whose performance in ‘Pejman’ and ‘Huge Problems’ has been applauded by ifilm audience.

Produced by Saeed Khani, the flick also casts Hadi Hejazifar,Setareh Pesyani, Elham Akhavan, Amin Hayaee, Bahram Afshari, Anahita Dargahi, Masoud Keramati, Linda Kiani and Mani Haqiqi.

‘Amphibian’ is about a father and his son Ata who live together. Their next door neighbor has a maid who is secretly in love with Ata. The maid makes an evil plan to get to her love, Ata, but everything gets out of control when she lets her cousin into the plan.

A tagline for the film reads as, “Well, it’s an amphibian. It is better to go underwater; otherwise, it will be crushed.”

‘Amphibian’ makes Khani and Niknejad’s second cooperation after ‘Vespiary’.
