The 1st edition of the Italian film event, which will be held on September 1-5 in Venice, will host Mostafa Rostampour’s 15-minute ‘Old Man’s Heavy Sleep’.
Rostampour’s film is about an old man whose children left him. The man feels lonely and can’t tolerate the situation. He desires death because of this deadly loneliness.
‘Old Man’s Heavy Sleep’ is the winner of the Best Cinematography Award at the 2020 edition of Italian Film Days festival.
The flick also participated in a number of international festivals, including the Lift-off Film Festival in the UK, the Media View Int’l Film Festival in Hungary, the First-time Filmmaker Sessions in the UK, the 2020 Southeast Regional Film Festival in the US and the Busan Int’l Kids and Youth Film Festival in South Korea.
The Venice Architecture Short Film Festival, as put by the event’s official website, “is an annual event aimed at recognizing issues relevant to architecture, the use of public space and sense of community.”
