Harvesting pomegranate in Susan Plain

Farmers in Khuzestan Province have been harvesting pomegranate in the beautiful Susan Plain located in the city of Izeh.

The vegetation of the Susan Plain includes oak forests, fig trees, poppy flowers, and other native plants.

Almost 750 hectares of Izeh lands are allocated to pomegranate gardens.

There are many products derived from pomegranate and even its peel is used for dyeing but Izeh is well-known for its pomegranate paste and pickle.
