‘Too Loud a Silence’ to vie in the US

Iranian short flick ‘Too Loud a Silence’ has been selected to compete at the 4th edition of the Threadbare Mitten Film Festival in the US.

Written, produced and directed by Elsa Firouz-Azar, the flick has a surreal look at the mental disorders and tumults of a young girl.

The main cause of all her distractions and hallucinations is the extreme family challenges she had observed between her parents.

Saghar Azizi, Babak Qaderi, Rouzbeh Akhtari, Yasaman, Mirzaee, Behdad Qaderi, Arezou Tajnia, and Mahsa Asghari are on the cast list of ‘Too Loud a Silence’.

Born in 1983, Firouz-Azar is an Iranian actress who has also experienced working as director assistant and script supervisor.

She has appeared in a number of movies, including ‘How I Became a Billionaire’, ‘Ceasefire I’, ‘Ceasefire II’, and ‘Superstar’.

The Threadbare festival welcomes films with various genres and calls itself “an eclectic and eccentric celebration of genre cinema”.

The festival brings together the best and oddest films from around the world.

This year’s edition of the festival will be held on September 3-7, 2020.

The 4th Threadbare Mitten Film Festival will also screen ‘Slaughter’ by Ako Zand-Karimi and Saman Hosseinpour, ‘Dog Fight’ by Ali Aref-Nasab, ‘The Stain’ by Shouresh Vakili, and ‘Light Room’ by Pouya Aqelizadeh, all from Iran.
