US festival to host ‘Taxi is Here’

Iranian short film ‘Taxi is Here’ is set to take part in the "Imagine This" Women's International Film Festival (ITWIFF) in the United States.

According to the Iranian Youth Cinema Society, ‘Taxi is Here’, written and directed by Sara Aqababaeean, will be screened at the 5th edition of ITWIFF.

The film is about a woman who takes a taxi. Upon getting to know the taxi driver, she decides to share a secret with him.

The film’s main cast members include Shaqayeq Faryadshiran and Mehrzad Nour-Hosseini.

‘Taxi is Here’ previously received the Award of Merit at the 11th IndieFEST Film Awards in the US.

The "Imagine This" Women's International Film Festival aims to showcase the work of independent and aspiring women filmmakers from around the world.

The 5th edition of ITWIFF begins on September 25, 2020.
