Hamed Behdad, the star of Reza Mirkarimi’s movie, has been nominated for the Best Actor award. The film has also been picked as a candidate to run for the Best Screenplay award of the Chinese event.
Due to the outbreak of the coronavirus, the award ceremony, which is annually held in Hong Kong, China, has moved its venue to the city of Busan in South Korea. However, the event will only be broadcast online on Youtube on Wednesday October 14, 2020.
Mirkarimi’s ‘Castle of Dreams’ has already won 15 international awards in 2019.
The film is about Jalal Moradi, a 42-year-old father of two, who kills a relative in an accident, but he was released after it was considered as an accidental killing without intent.
After getting out of prison, Jalal leaves his wife and kids and moves to another city. When his wife dies, Jalal returns to his hometown, but he still does not want to be with his kids
The Asian Film Awards is presented annually by the Hong Kong International Film Festival Society to recognize the excellence of the film professionals in the film industries of Asian cinema.
