Scotland’s fest awards Iran short

Iranian short film 'Witness' has grabbed an award at the monthly Breakout Film Festival (BFF) in Scotland.

Valid Jalilvand's short received the best short screenplay award at this month’s edition of the Scottish film event.

A tagline for the film reads, “Be careful. There’s a ‘Jafar Jinni’ in the neighborhood of all of us”.

Ali-Akbar Soleimani, MasoumehLatifi and NasrinSedaghatnejad are the cast members of the short film. Besides, director Jalilvand plays a role in his flick too.

Launched in 2019, the BFF accepts films monthly. The selected films of each month will make the competition titles that will take part in the annual gala.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, this year’s ceremony has been cancelled and the winners will be participating in the next year’s gala set to be held on April 2021.
