‘The Blue Bed’ earns nom at Satisfied Eye fest

‘The Blue Bed’ has won a nomination at the 3rd Satisfied Eye International Film Festival (SEIFF) in the UK.

Young Iranian actress Bita Beigi succeeded to win a nomination for best actress in a supporting role for her outstanding performance in Alireza Kazemipour’s ‘The Blue Bed’.

Beigi holds a master's degree in Dramatic Literature. She has appeared in ‘Delta X’ by Alireza Amini, ‘Confessions’ by Arash Sanjabi and Kianoush Ayyari’s ‘The Couch’. Beigi has also directed two short films and is soon to launch the production stage to her third film named ‘It is Viraf’.

The film follows the story of a girl, played by Beigi, who has taken a wrong path in her life. She is faced with new challenges when a woman walks into her life.

This is not the first time ‘The Blue Bed’ brought Kazemipour accolades as it previously bagged Best Directing Award at the 10th edition of Vancouver Short Film Festival (VSFF) as well as three nominations at the 21st edition of the Leo Awards in Canada.

The 10-min ‘The Blue Bed’ also competed at the 43rd Elche Int’l Independent Film Festival in Spain, the 1st Loudoun Arts Film Festival (LAFF) in the US and the 22nd Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia (SSFF & Asia) in Japan.

The Satisfied Eye International Film Festival is a celebration of independent films, bringing together the most superlative and creative films worldwide.  

The 2020 SEIFF will host cineastes and cinephiles from around the world on October 8-11 in Central London.
