The DEFC director Mohammad Hamidi-Moqaddam earlier said the festival is set to pay tribute to renowned filmmaker Khosro Sinaee who died of coronavirus in August.

The first edition of the Cinema Verite was held in 2007.

Over the past decade, it has emerged as one of the important events on Iran's documentary calendar.

The 14th Cinema Verite will be held online due to the coronavirus outbreak in December 2020.
