The 11th edition of the International Philosophy Film Festival in Krakow, Poland, has scheduled to screen 25 films by Iranian filmmakers.
The festival’s official website recently announced that regarding the motto of this year’s event, the event organizers have focused on screening films by independent Iranian filmmakers.
“This year’s motto 'Cinema, people of the Orient, dreams and reality' takes us on a journey East. More specifically the mystical philosophy of Orient has been reflected on independent Iranian cinema,” the website wrote.
‘Vision’ directed by Soheil Amir-Sharifi, ‘Delete’ made by Kazem Molaei, as well as ‘Survival’ by Masoud Hatami are among the films.
The festival also screened ‘Monolog’ directed by Kaveh Qahreman and ‘The Gambler’ made by Karim Lakzadeh.
Iranian filmmaker Ashkan Ahmadi and Polish film critic Artur Zaborski reviewed the films after the screening sessions.
The 11th edition of the International Philosophy Film Festival has been slated for May 8-10, 2017, in Kawiarnia Literacka.
